Comments: Hi
Just wanted to let you know how I am celebrating the 25th anniversary of the WFL.

I am an electric football enthusiast. I am currently painting some figures to create my own World Football League. I already have the Florida Blazers and Birmingham Americans and have replayed the World Bowl won by the Americans (again) 13-12.

I want to thank you for your website where I have gotten most of my information about the World Football League. I have gotten pictures to paint the uniforms for my teams.

If you know of any where else I can get some pictures or information, please let me know.

Thanks again for your website.

Chris LeMay.

Comments: One thing that could improve your site tremendously would be if you could include graphics illustrating the
uniforms and colour schemes of the various WFL franchises. The site on geocities devoted to the USFL
has this and it is amazing. If you can get the details on the various uniforms worn by the teams, it would be
most appreciated. There are a lot of uniform junkies out here on the web.

Comments: great site.i wish the wfl had lasted longer but it was great while it lasted.i look at it like a great effort and not so much as a failure.i regret the nfl didn't take the memphis grizzlies as a nfl team as memphis still deserves a team and the grizzies had the names and the money.wfl we'll never forget you.aaron c garner

Comments: Great job on the site! I am a collector of WFL items (jerseys, helmets, programs, photos, etc.) and would be interested in trading with anyone out there who also has items
the WFL was a great league and I've actually been able to collect some great items. Forward a list of what you have, I'm always interested in what others have collected.

Comments: I was 10 years old when the tv commercials would come on
for the world football league and I still remember the cool
team names flashing on the screen. At the time the Dallas Cowboys
were king at our house so the new teams were more interesting!
Nice job on the website. Lots of stats to read.

Comments: During the W.F.L. 's two seasons (1974-1975), I was in the Air Force and didn't have access to the station(s)
airing the games. Over the the past 15+ years, I've collected quite a few W.F.L. Game Day Programs; I 've
even come across a 1974 WORLD BOWL PROGRAM. Thanks for having a great wedsite on the internet!!!!!

Comments: I attended a Phila. Bell vs. NY Stars game at the old JFK Stadium (now site of the First Union Center). There were an estimated 100,000 fannies in the seats (splintery wooden benches) that evening which means it had to be the highest attended WFL game during it's short existence. Turns out that most if not all of the tix were given away free through just about any means possible (I got mine from my Dad, a Philly cop who was handed a dozen of them at work.) It just goes to show that if the price is right, THEY WILL COME! I don't remember much about the game (NY won) except that 100,000 booing Philly sports fans is an awesome spectacle. Nice
site!

Comments: Well, after viewing some of the entries in this guestbook, I have decided that it is time to fess up:
I am a REAL fan of the World Football League!!! I only wish the league hadn't troubles like they had.
My other entry said that the WFL was a joke; well, I apologize to all WFL fans who read this. The
financial shenanigans were the ultimate joke. The USFL did not recognize that and that league felt
the same fate, even though it lasted three full seasons. Apparently, this led to the out-of-control salaries
that we have today in all pro sports. The money-happy owners of the WFL owe ALL football fans, like
yours truly, a full and unconditional apology for what happened to cause the league to go under like
the Titanic. Thanks.
