Comments: GREAT site!! Kudos to you guys for the hard work and labor of love!! Very well done and very informative!! The WFL still has a special place in my heart, and it always will! As a young teenager, I attended every single home game for the San Antonio Wings and they were each very exciting. Every bit as exciting that the NFL games that were going on. There were many really great players in the WFL and it is a shame that they never got the credit and recognition that they deserve!! I still have my ticket stubbs, programs and photos that I will forever cherish. Long live the WFL, and many thanks to you for putting this incredible website together! Peace!

Comments: I was a young boy when the WFL was around, but I followed the Birmingham Americans every game. I still think they have the coolest logo of any team before or since.

Comments: Great, great site. Saw several Birmingham Americans and Vulcans games, and actually did a story on the Ams 30-year reunion when I worked at the now defunct Birmingham Post-Herald newspaper. I have a Fancave at my house that features a collection of mini-helmets of the original 12 WFL teams, along with a bunch of programs and memorabilia (including the palamino yellow football). I love coming to this site to stroll down memory lane.

Comments: I covered the 1974 Portland Storm and part of the year of the Portland Thunder in 1975 for The Oregonian newspaper in Portland, Oregon. I truly enjoyed the experience and met some very nice people like head coach Dick Coury, assistant coaches Marty Schottenheimer, Craig Fertig etc. The players also were great with Rufus "The Roadrunner" Ferguson and many more. Pete Beathard, one of our QBs, was especially interesting and we had some special discussions on the charter flights. Thanks so much for this site and I hope I can add to it.

Comments: Love the WFL, remember during High School watching the NY Stars with ex NY Jet players from Stadium on Wards Island. Also, the Steamers, Texans, Storm and Wheels.
