Comments: Long live WFL...Thanx for bringing back the memories of an evolving time of pro football. MuchoThanx for picking up on the XFL. They vanished so fast I was not able to d/l info from their site. Keep the flame burning. Would appreciate any info anyone may have on the AAFC All-American Football Conference of the mid to late forties that produced the Browns, Colts, and Forty Niners.

Comments: WOW! A WFL site! I actually have a program from a WFL game in 1974. I thought the league was fine but most everyone else didn't think so. It beat the XFL all to heck. Looking forward to the site visit.

Comments: In the previous entry, the syndicator for the World Football League telecasts was incorrectly stated. TVS was the syndicator.

TVS' animated open to the World Football League telecasts was shown on the recent NFL Films/ESPN Classic program on the WFL. It was so great seeing it again.

Comments: Thanks for the great site. Before the Florida Blazers and Jack Pardee came to my hometown of Orlando, we hadn't had professional football since the Continental Football League's Orlando Panthers. The WFL was a hoot. I remember seeing games on the Misslou? television network. I couldn't take the XFL serious, and of course the WLAF was a scab league, but besides the USFL and the CFL's invasion of the US back in the early nineties, the WFL was, for a few months at least, a legitimate competitor to the NFL, for star players, locales, and especially during the 74 NFL strike, the fans themselves.

Comments: Saw the WFL special on ESPN Classic last night and taped it. Well done I thought, but could have been two hours. Disappointed that they didn't mention the Florida Blazers story much at all, which I consider one of the great forgotten stories in football history. Lots of great footage.

Comments: I have a set of unused WFL coasters given away by Shell Oil Co. Each coaster has a different team logo. They are really great! The set is in a yellow plastic crock. Does anyone have any idea of it's value?

Comments: What a great site. I was too young when the WFL tried to come to Toronto (Northmen). It was interesting to read the Canadian Football Act which killed the Northmen. It is ironic that so many years later the CFL expanded into the US and had a US based team win our beloved Grey Cup - The Baltimore Stallions. It is also good to know that our CFL has not suffered the same fate as the WFL, USFL and XFL, afterall "Our Balls Are Bigger" as the advertizing says - Radically Canadian. Thanks again for a great site!!
